A beautifully produced 19th-century French devotional volume, Heures de l’Enfance, containing religious poetry for children by Virginie Orsini. Issued by Delloye, Éditeur, this edition exemplifies the finest traditions of French decorative bookmaking, blending spiritual instruction with refined artistic presentation.

The book is bound in black cloth boards richly gilt-stamped to the front and spine, featuring an elaborate central cartouche accented with polychrome details and cherubic ornamentation. The spine has layered gilt tooling and decorative panels that display beautifully on the shelf. All edges are gilt, lending the volume an unmistakable sense of luxury and careful craftsmanship.

Illustrated with delicately engraved vignettes and ornamental borders, including devotional scenes, floral motifs, and architectural frames that echo medieval and Renaissance manuscript traditions.
