One of the most influential novels of the nineteenth century was Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert. In a 1950 Heritage Press edition, based upon the work of the Limited Editions Club,  this edition features wood engravings by Pierre Brissaud, engraved by Théo Schmied, and includes an introduction by Jacques de Lacretelle.

Bound in purple cloth with decorative patterned boards along with a violet slipcase, this edition reflects the exceptional craftsmanship for which Heritage Press became known.
