This decorative library edition brings together Charlotte Brontë’s Jane Eyre and Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights in one volume. Both texts are adapted: Jane Eyre by Jerome Carlin and Henry I. Christ, and Wuthering Heights by Ruby Withers, with editing by Mark Neville. The text is accompanied by black-and-white illustrations.

The volume has cream paper-covered boards decorated with a repeating multicolored fleur-de-lis pattern, a contrasting red spine with gilt ornament and lettering, and matching patterned endpapers. The copyright page gives 1946 for Globe Book Company; the title pages name J. J. Little & Ives Co., Inc., New York.
