Most notably, the front cover features an inset oval panel of embroidered cloth-depicting a rose-applied directly to the binding, a highly unusual and collectible feature. Beveled board edges. Blind-embossed detail to back board. Gilt edges to all block sides. Frontispiece/engraving with tissue guard. Red rules framing the pages. Illustrated within with beautiful engravings.Rubbing noted to edges/corners. Gilt remains bright and preserved. Clean pages. Inscription to front. Binding tight. 560pp.
