A Heritage Press edition of Charles Dickens’s enduring classic Great Expectations, illustrated by acclaimed English artist Edward Ardizzone. The novel follows the orphaned Pip from his humble childhood on the Kent marshes through an unexpected rise in fortune, exploring ambition, class, loyalty, love, and the often-painful divide between appearance and character.

Bound in cream cloth, the volume is decorated in burgundy with an architectural border and intertwined “CD” monogram to the front board. The spine continues the ornamental design with pictorial figures and a gilt oval title panel. Ardizzone’s spirited illustrations appear throughout, including full-page color plates and black-and-white drawings that bring Dickens’s memorable characters and settings vividly to life.

Condition: Very Good . Tight binding, clean pages, and light sun toning to spine. The decorative cloth remains attractive. The original slipcase, in good condition, displays some rubbing and fading.
