1865 J. Fenimore Cooper Novels - Eve Effingham & Homeward Bound - Two-Volume Set

A handsome matched two-volume set of novels by J. Fenimore Cooper, issued as part of Cooper’s Novels and published in London by George Routledge and Sons, 1865.

This set includes:
    •    Eve Effingham
    •    Homeward Bound

Both volumes are finely bound with richly grained green leather spines, elaborately gilt-tooled compartments, and titles, paired with vividly marbled paper boards, matching marbled endpapers and marbled edges.

Internally, the pages are clean and well preserved, with only light, age-appropriate toning. The engraved frontispiece and text remain crisp, and both volumes are solidly bound, opening easily without strain. Bindings are tight/sound. Light, expected toning to pages consistent with age.
