Published 1952
Text with editorial notes by Edgar W. Smith
Printed by The Heritage Press, New York

A beautifully produced Heritage Press edition of The Final Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, featuring the definitive text corrected and edited by Edgar W. Smith. This elegant volume brings together the final cases of the great detective, originally published in His Last Bow and later stories.

The book includes illustrations by famed artists Frederic Dorr Steele, Frank Wiles, Gilbert Holiday, Arthur I. Keller, and others—reproduced from original publications in Collier’s, Liberty Magazine, and The Strand Magazine between 1908 and 1926.

The cover design evokes the iconic 221B Baker Street study, with the initials “V.R.” in bullet-pocks and a black cameo medallion-style portrait of Holmes, a nod to the decor described by Dr. Watson. This edition is finely bound with a black spine and subtly patterned boards. Speckled edges. Black slipcase.

Condition: Near Fine

Size: 6” x 8 3/4”

A collectible volume for Sherlockians and fans of fine press editions alike.
