Bound in the publisher’s original decorative cloth featuring the celebrated Larousse “Semeuse” (The Sower) motif, this substantial volume contains thousands of engravings, maps, diagrams, tables, and illustrations throughout.

Compiled under the direction of Claude Augé, the work served as both dictionary and encyclopedia, offering concise definitions alongside historical, geographical, scientific, artistic, and cultural information. Condition: Good to very good. Binding tight. Light wear to cloth binding with minor fraying at extremities. Pages are uniformly moderately + toned throughout from age. Small closed tear to title page margin. Maps and illustrations remain attractive and complete as present. A solid and appealing copy.
