As a result, they are forced to flee from the malevolent moneylender, Daniel Quilp, embarking on a harrowing journey through the English countryside. Along their way, they encounter a variety of characters, both kind and cruel, as they seek refuge and hope. The novel is a poignant exploration of innocence, resilience, and the relentless pursuit of security and happiness amidst adversity.
