A magnificent mid-19th century English Holy Bible, printed in London in 1853 by George E. Eyre and William Spottiswoode, printers to the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty. This volume is bound in rich black leather with blind-stamped geometric designs, further adorned with ornate brass corner pieces and a working clasp. The gilt edges are exquisitely engraved with intricate Gauffered edges displaying remarkable craftsmanship of the Victorian era.

 Tables and reading lessons for holy days. Binding sound and clasp secure. Light wear consistent with age. Interior pages clean. Fold-out maps , hand-colored; well-preserved with strong impressions and minimal wear.
