The cover is an exquisite example of Victorian design: olive green cloth adorned with intricate black stamping and bright gilt floral and ornamental motifs on the front board and spine. Beveled edged boards. The binding is highlighted with a decorative lyre emblem and floral borders. Illustrated with full-page engravings.  Gilt to all edges. Binding tight.
