Brittany by Mortimer Menpes, with text by his daughter Dorothy Menpes, is a richly illustrated travelogue capturing the charm of the Brittany region in France. Featuring 75 color plates engraved and printed at the Menpes Press, the book vividly portrays Breton landscapes, villages like Douarnenez and Pont-Aven, and local customs. Menpes, influenced by James McNeill Whistler during an earlier visit in 1880, brings an artistic perspective to his depictions.
