An exceptionally charming 1826 miniature edition of Poems by William Cowper issued by Jones & Company of London and complete in two matching volumes.

Bound in full black leather, these petite books feature ornate blind-stamped covers, elegant gilt border rules, and beautifully decorated spines with raised floral devices highlighted in gilt to spines. The bindings unusually decorative for a miniature format, making this set especially appealing to collectors of early 19th-century poetry and fine bindings.

Volume I includes a portrait frontispiece and vignette title page. Both volumes with brown endpapers and faint marbled page edges.
