An exquisite limited edition Holy Bible produced to commemorate the Coronation of King George V and Queen Mary at Westminster Abbey on June 22, 1911. Elegantly bound in full navy blue calf leather by Orrin & Greer Bindery, with the Royal Coat of Arms in gilt and enamel on the front cover, and intricate gilt borders adorned with Tudor roses.

The spine is richly gilt-stamped with “Holy Bible” and “Apocrypha,” while the front board bears the Latin inscriptions “GEORGIVS V DEI GRATIA BRITANNIARVM OMNIVM REX FID. DEFENSOR IND. IMPERATOR” and the coronation date.

Inside, the Bible is graced with deep navy blue silk moiré endpapers and gilt-inlaid turn-ins, with a navy silk page ribbon and all edges gilt. This edition includes both the Old and New Testaments as well as the Apocrypha, printed in double columns by His Majesty’s Printers.

These Bibles were privately distributed to members of the Royal Household and select dignitaries, making them exceptionally scarce—believed to have been produced in very limited numbers (approximately one to two dozen copies). Limited commemorative editions.

A regal and finely preserved artifact from the early 20th century, reflecting both the craftsmanship of Edwardian bookbinding and the historic grandeur of the British monarchy.
