Rudyard Kipling (1865–1936) was an English writer and poet known for his vivid storytelling and themes of British imperialism. His most famous work, The Jungle Book (1894), is a collection of stories set in the Indian jungle, following Mowgli, a boy raised by wolves, and his encounters with characters like Baloo the bear and Shere Khan the tiger. Blending adventure, morality, and mythology, the book has remained a beloved classic, inspiring numerous adaptations. Kipling’s work, including his poetry and fiction, earned him the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1907, making him the youngest recipient at the time.
