This edition features a special introduction by the translators and is richly illustrated with reproductions of nineteenth-century paintings by Vassily Verestchagin, along with numerous pen drawings specially made for this edition by Fritz Eichenberg.
Bound in deep crimson cloth with elegant silver titling to the spines and a cameo-style vignette to the upper boards. Printed on quality paper stock with stunning black-and-white illustrations throughout; numerous fold-out illustrations. Clean pages. Binding tight/sound.
