A complete four-volume edition of Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tales, published in Odense, Denmark, the author’s native city. Publication dates range from 1967-1969. Edited by Svend Larsen and translated from the original Danish by R. P. Keigwin, the set brings together Andersen’s stories in English, with black-and-white illustrations by Vilhelm Pedersen and Lorenz Frølich, reproduced from the original drawings held at the Andersen Museum in Odense.
The charming pocket-sized volumes feature matching turquoise-blue textured bindings with silver lettering and floral decoration. The four books include such familiar tales as “The Snow Queen,” “The Wild Swans,” “The Fir Tree,” “The Teapot,” and “The Ugly Duckling.”
