Published in London by Macmillan and Co., Limited, in 1902, this Albion Edition was issued by Frederick Warne & Co. under special arrangement with Macmillan.

Bound in stunning polished tree calf with an ornately gilt-tooled spine featuring intricate floral and geometric motifs, black morocco title label, and double gilt fillet borders. The covers exhibit rich, flowing grain patterns characteristic of fine tree calf.
The interior is equally elegant with marbled endpapers in shades of teal, gold, and white, complemented by gilt dentelles and all edges gilt.

Includes a frontispiece portrait of Tennyson after the painting by G. F. Watts (1859). The text is printed on quality laid paper with red edges when angled yet gilt when not—a feature of refinement in Warne’s high-grade bindings.
