This Second Series volume gathers sacred verse from leading poets of devotion and reflection, including George Wither, Richard Crashaw, and Robert Southwell, among others.
Bound in exquisite full polished calf with raised bands, gilt compartments, and contrasting red and black morocco spine labels. Gilt tooling continues across the borders, with beautifully marbled endpapers and marbled page edges — a true hallmark of Victorian craftsmanship. Printed at the Riverside Press by H.O. Houghton.
