A decorative gilt clasp closure further enhances its presentation, while the all edges are gilt and gauffré tooled with intricate patterns. Binding tight. Clean pages.

“Presented to Miss Mary Radcliffe on her marriage by the Parishioners of Langton, December 1866.”
• Includes a manuscript leaf with a list of parishioners’ names.
• Later ownership inscriptions: Mary Rosamind Howard Vyse (1880–1906) and Mary F.H. Howard-Vyse (1953).
