The Lace Book by N. Hudson Moore (1937) Illustrated Edition | 70 Engravings

A visually rich exploration of historic lace, The Lace Book by N. Hudson Moore is both a scholarly reference and a beautifully illustrated volume. This 1937 Tudor Publishing Company edition (originally issued in 1904) presents a detailed study of lace-making traditions across Europe, from Italian and Flemish to French, Spanish, English, and Irish forms.

Illustrated with seventy full-page engravings/photograves, the work pairs historical commentary with striking visual documentation—featuring lace as worn in portraiture and preserved in textile form.

In a green cloth binding and striped spine with gilt titling. Binding tight. Clean pages. 206pp. This copy includes a 1941 presentation inscription.

Condition: Very Good.

Size: 5 3/4” x 8 1/4”

A strong example for collectors of textile history, decorative arts, or illustrated reference works.
