At the center of the upper board is an oval hand-colored pictorial scene showing a young woman and seated gentleman, framed by exceptionally elaborate gilt decoration. The richly decorated spine continues the gilt ornamentation, and the text block is finished with all edges gilt.

An engraved frontispiece accompanies the title page, with additional decorative and illustrated elements appearing within the volume.
