Bound in original brown cloth with ornate blind-stamped design featuring a circular central medallion surrounded by leafy flourishes- a beautiful example of mid-19th century decorative cloth bindings. Spine with gilt lettering/detail; some rubbing to spine edges/corners of boards. Boards with gentle wear and light toning consistent with age. Corner tear to front endpaper where inscription is located. Some pages exhibit some foxing and toning. Some pages with damp staining marking near the lower gutter. Binding sound.
